When critical incidents occur in a secure custody setting that online staff are not equipped to handle they call for their emergency response team. Some of the topics taught are; team dynamics, team movement, entry techniques, area, person and room searches, forced cell extraction, use of force, weapons considerations, application of specialty restraints, weapons carriage, protective equipment, body dynamics, roles and responsibilities, coordinating trainings, liability concerns.
Target Audience: Military corrections personnel, corrections response team members.
Prerequisites: None.
Equipment: Duty belt, pistol holster (if authorized), OC, baton, magazine pouch, handcuffs, handcuff key, gloves, training attire, helmet, ballistic vest, all protective gear, less lethal weapons.
